    Groups Periods
    1. The vertical columns of the periodic table are called groups.
    2. The valence electrons of all elements in the same group are the same.
    3. The valency of all the elements in the same group is the same.
    4. The size of atoms increases from top to bottom.
    5. Metallic reactivity increases and non metallic reactivity decreases from top to bottom.
    1.The horizontal rows of the periodic table are called periods.
    2. The valence electrons of the elements in the same period increase from left to right.
    5. The valency of the elements in the same periods is different.
