If the high voltage is applied to the circuit containing capacitor the capacitor gets charged to a high potential . So we handle the charged capacitor gets discharge and may cause a severe shock to the person handling it. Hence , we should not handle a circuit containing capacitor continuously even when there is no flow of current .
